Will You Be a Veteran?
Today we celebrate Veteran's Day to honor all the men and women who have served us and our country in armed services. While thinking about that, I believe the ultimate celebration for veterans will be the day Christians will get to enter heaven. If you are a Christian, whether you just became one or have been one for many moons, you're striving to be a "veteran" of the cause of Jesus. We are actually soldiers in the greatest army ever, and we are fighting a cause far more important than our country and its people. We are waging war against Satan and those who serve him. Keep on wearing your uniform (breastplate of righteousness, etc.) proudly and look forward to the time you are honored in Heaven!

I dont think that I have ever shared the story of what happened to my Dad. Probably because I can't tell it without crying. My Dad is a hero, a vet, and one of the ones who gave his life for our Freedom. I dont know my Dad or even remember my Dad because, he died when I was just 11 months old. I have never blamed God or questioned him for anything that has ever happened in my life. I know God has a reason and a purpose for EVERYTHING. I dont know my Dad, but I can't explain this tremendous love and compassion that I feel for a man I do not know. Everytime I think of that, it reminds me of Jesus. Never seen him, never touched him, never smelled him(even though I like to think so, after the rain), never talked to him one on one, but he is there for us anytime we need anything. And he is full of love for his people. And he is so great, isn't he? He does some wonderful and amazing things for us. Dorthy's post just reminded me of the love our Father has for us. Even though our soldiers fight for our freedom everyday, our true fight is to share Jesus with as many people as possible before he comes back to take us home. Thanks Dorthy, Paula
