Headaches? Backaches? Neck Tension? Depressed? Exhausted?
If you say yes to any of those things, you can pretty much bet you're not taking care of yourself. If your lifestyle is stretched to the maximum, physical symptoms can be common to you. I know, you don't know where you'll get the time to change anything.
Your body belongs to God, but He lets you take care of it on this earth. If you don't take care of it, absolutely no one else can. Either you honor God with what He gave you, or you continue to live in stress. So maybe if we look at taking care of ourselves as honoring God, we will be more likely to do it.
In "The Frazzled Female" Cindi Wood says there are four areas we need to work on...eating, sleeping, exercising, and relaxing. I have two of those down pretty well. But is 50% really honoring God. I Corinthians 6:20 says we need to glorify God in our body. That is a statement, not a suggestion. And as Cindi says, "when you have time" is not dangling at the end of the statement.
I hope you'll join me in working on the areas you need help improving. I eat and sleep like a champion. I don't exercise and I don't really relax. I'm making a commitment to start doing both. If you need to take better care of yourself, join me:).
